Craft Circle Social: Create, Connect, and Craft

Calling all craft enthusiasts! Get ready for AOOA’s Craft Circle Social: Create, Connect, and Craft - a fun filled day where you will work on a project and learn new crafts! Whether you're an experienced crafter or just starting your journey, this event is for anyone who loves to work with their hands to create art in a community setting!

Bring a craft project and work alongside fellow crafters who share your passion. Don’t have a project to bring? Not to worry, we will help get you started on one! Throughout the day, our expert craft workshop instructors will give thirty minute to one hour demonstrations showcasing their skills and teaching a variety of new techniques. This is a great way to learn something new and discover fresh ways to elevate your portfolio and skills. Lunch is included.

The day will begin at 11:00am with an introduction from our MC (Master Crafter) Robin Schweitzer. Robin will help those that did not bring a project get started on one, and for those who did she can offer support and share techniques in her repertoire. The remainder of the day will be followed with craft demos and a break for a convivial lunch.

Come for the day, or just attend your preferred demos! No matter what you choose, you will leave the event craftier.

11:00am - Welcome by Robin Schweitzer + settle in and start embroidering, crocheting, knitting…

12:00pm - Demo #1: How to card fleece and spin yarn with Heather Sloan

1:00pm - Lunch Break: Enjoy Frittata, Focaccia, and Salad crafted by AOOA.

2:00pm - Demo #2: Make your own bookmarks using flowers from the farm to make hammer prints. Eileen MacAvery Kane will demonstrate and provide the materials for you to make your own

3:00pm - Demo #3: Paper quilling with Katie Conklin

4:00pm till 5:00pm Wrap up - Attendees consult with Robin over the best ways to finish their crafts
