About the event
Calling all kids to join us for another tomato-themed adventure! (There are SO. MANY. TOMATOES!)
Through interactive activities, they'll discover the fascinating journey from seed to harvest, gaining a hands-on understanding of nature's cycles. They will have the chance to taste different tomato types and discover their unique flavors!
The highlight of the workshop will be a fun-filled bruschetta-making session! The kids will work together to create their very own bruschetta using freshly harvested ingredients. At the end of the class, they will savor their homemade creations, fostering a love for fresh, flavorful food and igniting their passion for culinary adventures!
For children 7 & up. Space is limited. Please register in advance.
About the instructor: Beth Verblaauw was a local teacher for sixteen years. She is a children's librarian and children's program developer, a mom of 4, and loves finding beauty and adventure in the outdoors.
