About the event
Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned hobbyist, our private beekeeping lesson will provide you with the knowledge and skills to successfully raise your own bees and enjoy the sweet rewards of your hard work. Or, if you're just curious to learn more about bees and peek into the hive, that's great, too! We will meet you and your group at your interest and skill level.
Alix Daguin, our AOOA Project Director, will teach the basics about bees and conduct a hive inspection. Don't miss out on this buzzing opportunity to connect with nature and learn a new skill!
Since we will be opening the hives, please come dressed in appropriate attire: long pants, long-sleeved shirts, tall socks, and comfortable, closed-toed shoes are recommended.
One ticket is good for up to 3 adults and 3 children. We have 3 young child-sized suits and 3 adult suits available for those who want to get close to the hives. If children under 18 are participating, at least one adult must also be present.
Light refreshments will be served.
